Melissa Richardson
Melissa pursued a marketing career after completing a Psychology degree. She was a Marketing Director at Unilever before establishing her own consultancy, later co-founding a brand strategy and market research firm. After nearly 25 years in marketing she re-focussed her attention on people and helping them reach their potential. Her company, Horizons Unlimited, assists people and organisations to reach extraordinary outcomes.
Melissa’s hands-on business experience combined with an education in the social sciences has equipped her to be a skilled workshop facilitator, trainer and executive coach, working with senior executives across a broad spectrum of industries.
With a particular passion for the status and advancement of women, she consults to organisations on the establishment of internal mentoring programs and other initiatives to attract and retain female talent. Her first mentor program, for young women working in marketing, was established over 10 years ago, and continues to thrive. Melissa is facilitating four mentor programs for women this year.
Melissa has a Bachelor of Science and postgraduate qualifications in Strategic Marketing and in Counselling. She is currently completing a Master of Organisational Coaching degree.
When she is not working or studying, Melissa spends time with the three men in her life – her husband and two teenage sons.
